5.1. Free Trial

• Monthly and yearly plans include a 7-day free trial
• You can cancel anytime before the trial ends without being charged
• Only one free trial period per user

5.2. Subscription Plans

• Weekly Plan: Immediate access, no trial period
• Monthly Plan: Includes 7-day trial, then monthly billing
• Yearly Plan: Includes 7-day trial, then annual billing

5.3. Automatic Renewal

• Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled
• Renewal occurs at the current rate for your selected plan
• You can manage subscriptions through your device's account settings

5.4. Usage Limits

• You need to have a subscription to use the Service
• Unlimited note generations* including:
  • YouTube video analysis
  • PDF & text file analysis
  • Voice & image analysis
  • Smart mind map generation
• Unlimited AI chat with your notes*
• Unlimited quiz generation*

*Subject to fair usage policy to prevent abuse

5.5. Cancellation and Refunds

• You may cancel your subscription at any time
• Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period
• No refunds for partial subscription periods
• Refunds are handled according to the platform's (App Store/Google Play) policies

6.1. Prohibited Content

You agree not to use the Service to process, generate, or store content that:

• Is illegal or promotes illegal activities
• Infringes on intellectual property rights
• Contains malware or malicious code
• Is discriminatory or promotes hate speech
• Contains explicit adult content
• Harasses or bullies others
• Impersonates others
• Violates privacy rights

6.2. Technical Restrictions

You agree not to:

• Abuse the usage limits
• Reverse engineer the Service
• Create automated scripts to access the Service
• Interfere with the Service's security features
• Use the Service in a way that could damage or overload our systems

6.3. Automation and Bulk Processing

The following activities are strictly prohibited:

• Use of automated scripts, bots, or crawlers
• Bulk uploading or processing of content
• Automated account creation or management
• Systematic downloading or scraping of content

7.1. User Content

• You retain all rights to the content you submit to the Service
• You grant ScrollNote a non-exclusive, worldwide license to use, store, and process your content solely for providing the Service

7.2. Generated Content

• Mind maps and quizzes generated through the Service are publicly accessible
• While you retain ownership of your generated content, you grant other users the right to view and use it
• Public generated content may be used to improve the Service

7.3. ScrollNote Property

• The Service, including its software, design, logos, and trademarks, is owned by ScrollNote

8.1. AI Processing Disclaimer

• The Service uses artificial intelligence to analyze and generate content
• AI-generated content may contain inaccuracies or errors
• Users should independently verify any important information
• ScrollNote does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of AI-generated content

8.2. Third-Party Content Analysis

• YouTube videos, PDFs, and other third-party content are processed as-is
• ScrollNote is not responsible for the accuracy or legality of third-party content
• Users must ensure they have necessary rights to analyze third-party content

9.1. Service Availability

• The Service is provided "as is" and "as available"
• ScrollNote does not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service
• We may suspend or terminate service for maintenance or updates
• No refunds are provided for service interruptions

9.2. AI Analysis Limitations

ScrollNote is not liable for:

• Errors in AI-generated summaries, mind maps, or quizzes
• Decisions made based on AI-generated content
• Loss of data or content
• Indirect, consequential, or incidental damages

9.3. Force Majeure

We are not liable for any failure or delay due to:

• Technical failures beyond our reasonable control
• Natural disasters or acts of God
• Government actions or regulations
• Other circumstances beyond our reasonable control

10.1. Data Processing

• We process your data as described in our Privacy Policy
• You consent to the collection and use of data as specified
• You can request data deletion through our designated channels

10.2. Data Security

• We implement reasonable security measures
• We cannot guarantee absolute security
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials

12.3. Effect of Termination

Upon termination:

• Subscription fees are not refunded
• Public generated content remains accessible

13.1. Governing Law

• These Terms are governed by the laws of France
• Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Paris, France
• Users agree to submit to the personal jurisdiction of such courts

13.2. Informal Resolution

Before filing a claim:

• Users must attempt to resolve disputes informally
• Contact ScrollNote customer service

13.3. Time Limitation

• Any cause of action must be commenced within one year
• After the cause of action arises
• Otherwise, such cause of action is permanently barred

14.1. User Obligations

You agree to indemnify and hold ScrollNote harmless from:

• Claims arising from your use of the Service
• Violations of these Terms
• Violations of third-party rights
• Your Content
• Your Generated Content

14.2. Cooperation

If we are sued due to your actions:

• You will assist in our defense
• You will reimburse reasonable legal fees
• You will cover any resulting damages

15.1. External Services

• The App may integrate with third-party services
• Use of such services is subject to their terms
• We are not responsible for third-party services
• Integration availability may change without notice

15.2. External Content

• YouTube videos, PDFs, and other external content
• We don't claim ownership of external content
• Users must ensure they have rights to use external content
• We may remove content that violates third-party rights

16.1. Compliance

• Users must comply with export control laws
• The Service may not be available in all jurisdictions
• Users certify they are not in restricted territories
